How Can I Get Help?

Since the Great Falls Community Food Bank is not a direct provider of emergency food assistance, we frequently get requests for referrals to food pantries.  Here is just a partial list of organizations that do provide emergency food assistance:

  • Opportunities, Inc., 1123 Central Avenue, 216-2300.  Assistance to families in emergency situations when no other services/resources are available to include:  food referrals, medical/dental/vision prescriptions, clothing, household items, rental assistance, travel and/or lodging.
  • Salvation Army Social Service Center, 527 9th Avenue South, 761-5660.  Emergency food, clothing and household goods vouchers for Thrift Store, emergency utility assistance, emergency rent assistance.
  • St. Vincent de Paul Social Services, 426 Central Ave. West, 761-0966.  Referral by Opportunities, Inc.  Walk-ins accepted on Friday only.
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Food Stamps, 20 Crop Growers Dr. 454-5640.  Provides eligible households an opportunity to obtain a more nutritious diet by supplementing their food budget.

If you need further assistance or help outside of the Great Falls area, please contact Montana 2-1-1 or visit
